I dig this. The album is gorgeous. All lush and discordant, it's pretty wild. People have been complaining about the guy's voice, which I totally get. But I think it's great and I think it works so well with these songs. I told someone that Vampire Weekend had made the most cohesive and consistent album this year. I quite love this album much much more.

How can I not love a girl wearing a Municipal Waste shirt (regardless how much they suck)? Okay, so technically her album comes out next year and technically she released her 'First Love EP' this year (which is awesome), but I've downloaded enough songs to constitute an album and a half, and lemme tell you, every single song is amazing. Album, EP...she is absolutely my most favorite thing about music this year.
